Ravens are the most intelligent of all bird species and exceptionally long-lived, often reaching 20 years or more.

Many of the Daughters have raven companions, to carry messages.

Ravens can also summon nearby dragons to assist their mistress, in the event of a threat.

But a true Raven Mistress has much greater powers - and a full flock of raven companions. 

She can commune with her ravens - and even use "Raven Vision", allowing her to see through the eyes of her ravens.
